Out-of-Stock Percentage
The percentage of time a product is not available on the shelf when consumers attempt to purchase.
How it's Calculated:
(Number of out-of-stock observations ÷ total observations) × 100.
Example:
If a snack brand is missing 20 times out of 200 checks, out-of-stock rate = 10%.
